Cascade Ponds

Cascade Ponds

Cascade Ponds is a beautiful day use area that has fire pits, picnic tables and toilets. There is usually wood for a fire, but this is not always the case. You can walk around the pond and have a little picnic with your friends and family. There are 2 shelters in the event of rain, but they are first come, first serve. No reservations are needed.

It is a good idea to get there early. Cascade Ponds is a very popular place, especially for families and groups wanting to have a picnic lunch, or evening BBQ. It can be busy on weekdays as well as weekends.

Directions

From Banff, head north towards Highway 1 from Banff Ave, drive under the highway, take your second right and you are at Cascade Ponds.
